KPI Dashboard

Reports → KPI Dashboard (/kpi_dashboard) compares a target with what actually happened. The demo shows a weekly card for a user, indicator Total sales, actual against a target such as 25,000, for the current week.

KPI dashboard report

The board has two areas: the current results, and KPI limits (/kpi_limits), which is also under Settings → Other. The dashboard reads the limits. You edit the target on the limits page.

Read a card

Each card is one target: who it applies to (a user or another target type), the period (for example weekly), the indicator (for example total sales), the date range, the target amount, and the actual amount. Actual is calculated from confirmed documents and payments in that range. A draft sale does not count.

The gauge is actual divided by the target. Zero actual against a target means nothing confirmed in that period, not that the target is broken.

Permissions

KPI limits allow view, create, edit, delete, and print. The dashboard itself is Has access. A person can be allowed to see the gauges and not allowed to change targets.

See KPI limits for the fields on a target.

Tips

  • Actual stays at zero until a document in that period is confirmed.
  • The week on the card follows the limit’s period. Change the limit if you need a month instead of a week.
  • A missing person on the board means they have no limit, not that their sales are hidden.
