Excel Import
Path: Settings → Excel Import (/import). You need view and create on Excel import. There is no edit or delete on the import module itself. A bad import is corrected by editing or merging the records it created.
The grid is the kind of data you can load: Catalog, Clients, Employees, Visits, Requests, Obligations, Documents, and Warehouse. Each card explains what that file should contain. Guide (/import/guide) is the column-by-column help for the file you are about to upload.
Import a file
- Open the card for the data you are loading. Do catalog and contacts before documents, because a document line needs an item and a contact that already exist.
- Download the sample if the card offers one, and keep the column names.
- Fill the sheet. Dates should match the day/month/year format the guide shows. Leave optional columns empty rather than typing a placeholder.
- Upload the file and map any column the importer does not recognize.
- Run the import. Rows that fail stay in the result with the reason (missing name, unknown branch, duplicate code). Fix those rows and import only the failed ones.
- Open Duplicates after a contact import. The same phone in two rows becomes two contacts unless you merge them.
Importing does not confirm documents. Stock and balances change only when those documents are confirmed, the same as if you had typed them.
Warehouse import sets quantities by creating the stock movements the guide describes. Read that card before you upload a count, so you do not add the quantity twice on top of stock you already have.
